To make a bouquet of flowers, you don't need a lot of materials, tools or a lot of manual skill. And best of all, you don't need a lot of money to do this.
Making your own bouquet, as well as other ways of making crafts, offers the possibility of personalizing a gift or decorating your home without spending a lot.
So, let's get straight to the point. Follow these simple steps to create a beautiful floral arrangement:

You will need:
Fresh Flowers: You can buy them at farmers markets, local markets or even pick them from your own garden.
Leaves like ferns, eucalyptus or any green plant you have available.
Scissors or Garden Pliers: To cut flower stems.
Floral Ribbon or String: To tie the bouquet.
Wrapping Paper: Kraft paper, newspaper or any nice paper you have at home.
Decorative Ribbon: To give a beautiful finish to the bouquet (optional).
Get to work!
Choose and prepare the flowers:
Select a variety of flowers, preferably in different colors and sizes. The cheapest and most common flowers are daisies, carnations and wildflowers.
Cut the flower stems diagonally with scissors or pliers. This facilitates water absorption and keeps the flowers fresh for longer.
Remove any leaves that will be submerged in the water in the vase to prevent rot.
Add the leaves:
Use leaves to add volume and texture to the bouquet. Foliage such as eucalyptus, rosemary branches or any green plant you have available are great options.
Intersperse the leaves with the flowers to create a full, balanced base.
Put it all together:
Start with a central flower and add others around it.
Rotate the bouquet constantly as you add flowers and leaves, this helps maintain a round, symmetrical shape.
Mix large and small flowers, as well as different colors and types, for a more interesting look.
Once you're happy with the appearance of your bouquet, tie the stems with floral tape or twine, about 4 inches below the flowers.
Squeeze firmly to ensure the flowers are secure but without crushing the stems.
Time to finish it:
Cut the stems evenly, leaving them all the same length.
Wrap the bouquet with wrapping paper. You can use kraft paper, tissue paper, newspaper or any decorative paper you have at home.
Tape the paper down or tie it with decorative ribbon for a pretty finish.
Extra tips:
Choose Seasonal Flowers: Seasonal flowers are generally cheaper and fresher.
Use Repurposed Vases and Jars: Containers you already have at home can serve as beautiful vases.
Creativity with Greens: Don’t underestimate the impact of foliage; they can really transform your bouquet.
Care with Water: Keep flowers fresh by changing the water in the vase every two days and cutting the stems again.
With these simple steps, you can create a beautiful, personalized and economical bouquet of flowers. In addition to being a pleasurable activity, putting together your own bouquet allows you to experiment with different combinations and discover new artistic talents!
